Remember, if you do win Employee of the Month and would like your photo featured here (I don’t know why you wouldn’t!), then let your Area Manager know and make sure they give us a nudge. Or a bribe.

Well done everyone!

Head Office gets into the spirit

It’s been a busy day at Head Office, with everyone trying to fit a full day’s work around the England vs Wales match.

Colleagues at Head Office gathered to watch the game together this afternoon, some even dressing for the occasion.

An early lead for Wales kept everyone on the edge of their seat until England brought it back with a goal at 56 minutes courtesy of Vardy and another at 92 from Sturridge.

Congratulations to England after their 2-1 win, and commiserations to Wales. We’ll all get back to work now.

Welcome to Extra Mile!

Today we’re launching the site to all of our Euro Garages colleagues for the first time.

Over the past couple of months, we’ve been working on building a news website that will keep everyone up to date with news from across all brands and recognise the achievements of sites and individuals as often as we can.

ExtraMileBalloonsWe’ve tried to make Extra Mile as accessible as we can, so it can be viewed on your desktop PC or mobile device and there are a number of ways to navigate.

On our main page, we will always feature our most recent news stories so that you can access the latest stories quickly and with ease. It’s also easy to filter news stories by brand – by scrolling down to Brand News, you can select Food to Go or Food and Shop brands and get updated on the latest stories that interest you.

We’ve been hearing from area managers over the last several weeks, so have a look around and see if you or your site have been featured. There’s no limit to how many stories we can publish, or how often, so if you or your site are doing something great we’d like to share it with everyone.

We’d love to hear your feedback and we’ve made it easy to contact us. Either fill in the contact form at the bottom of our homepage or email us at

You can also follow @Eurogaragesltd on twitter for updates from sites and head office.

Monmouth South Opens Today

Today saw the opening of Monmouth South Service Station, featuring Starbucks, Greggs and Subway, on the A40 in Monmouthshire.

Following the closure of the original buildings, known as Raglan Services, in September 2012, Euro Garages purchased the derelict site and sought permission from Monmouthshire Council to demolish and rebuild the services on both the north and south bound sides of the A40.

As well as bringing much needed services to the area, the rebuilt site will provide around 135 jobs, 45 of which reside in the South side alone.

Monmouth North, pictured, has been open since March 15th.

A huge thanks to the teams involved in bringing this together and good luck to our Euro Garages colleagues – we’re sure the site is in capable hands.

Old Raglan Services reopen as EG Monmouth

It’s good news for Monmouth today, as Euro Garages open the newly built service station on the north side of the A40 in Monmouthshire.

Formerly known as Raglan Services, the site has been closed since 2012. Euro Garages were given permission to demolish and rebuild the services, promising Spar, Greggs, Subway and Starbucks facilities in addition to the petrol station.

Work is still ongoing on the south side, so keep an eye on our twitter @EurogaragesLtd for more updates as we have them.

Euro Garages opens 100th Subway

The beginning of November saw the opening of Euro Garages’ 100th Subway site, located in the Holtspur service station in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, more than a year ahead of schedule.

Operations manager, Ahmed Kazi, has said that achieving the milestone was testament to the company’s investment, people, capital and systems, stating that the Euro Garages estate will grow even further in 2016, with a target of 175 concessions open by the end of the year.

Area development manager for Subway in the UK and Ireland, Greg Madigan, sees the partnership as going from “strength to strength” and believes that the forecourt and convenience sector represents a significant area of growth for Subway.

This news comes towards the end of a landmark year for Euro Garages, during which they have acquired 172 new petrol station forecourts, including 68 Shell properties and a further 104 Esso sites, expanding the company’s reach to the South East, as well as securing TDR Capital’s backing in a deal that valued the business at £1.3bn.
