Every month we’re going to bring you articles that will make us all more aware of health and safety procedures here at Euro Garages. We’ll concentrate on specific topics every month, to refresh your memory and make sure we’re all doing what we need to do to keep ourselves, our colleagues and our customers safe.
Our March Focus is Incident Reporting!
At EG, we don’t want anyone to get hurt but if they do, following this process will help us to identify areas that need to be improved.
What should be reported?
Staff injuries
Customer injuries
Contractor injuries
Damaged property
Robberies
Serious incidents
How should it be reported?
Complete all details in the incident form.
Take photographs of all areas detailed.
Copy CCTV to disc and back office PC.
Ensure all documentation is sent (i.e. cleaning).
Summary:
Report all accidents resulting in injury and all serious incidents to management using the company incident form.
Record all injuries in the accident book.
Serious injuries should be communicated immediately to your AM by phone and then followed up with documentation, as should robberies.
If you have any questions at all, ask your AM straight away! Don’t wait until something happens.
